I guess you werent a fan of Sullivan vs Benoit in WcW then. Or Raven vs Dreamer in Ecw. Because in those feuds, a 90 pound woman did far worse.
Also the entire reason Bryan was out there was to convince the special Referee to judge in his favor...in his favor for what?? For the title!
i dont think your example of the ECW feud is spot on. That feud had many layers and one of them was Beulah by IMO she was more a means to an end. And regardless, she wasn't the one "leading" the angle like AJ Lee seems to be doing.
Fuck that WCW feud, it was rife with all kinds of craziness and for me, wasn't very interesting as I didnt care for Sullivan and didnt know why he was being pushed at that time anyway. I wasnt aware he was booker and cared even less as I wasnt smart to all the backstage shit till years later.
AJ keeps out-smarting the two guys. I see a huge difference there then any of those other angles anyways.
anyways this is about UT and who will face at Mania and IMO, Cena or Taker should be champions, not guys who the company has no faith in carrying the company as the true stars/faces, a opinion voiced often enough on this board.
My nephew asks me why isnt Big Show the champ? He's the biggest guy there. Why isn't Cena the champ he always wins? who is CM Punk? who is Daniel Bryan.
Hard to give WWE props when their champions are unknown to people who could be potential customers. It just doesnt add up in the end.
