- Strikeforce MMA Women's Champion "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey noted in a post-fight interview this weekend that she took the nickname from WWE Legend Roddy Piper, who is her favorite wrestler. Rousey added that Piper gave her the okay to use the nickname and that she will never change it.

it's cool that she asked Piper could she use the name she would be awesome i'm sure if she decided at some stage to join WWE she has a great promo looks prettier than any WWE diva and is tough as hell plus ultra charismatic.

100% agree, I was saying the same thing to a buddy Saturday night after she cut that promo on Cyborg. She would put the Divas to shame.

Ronda Rousey is awesome. I watched her last fight live and it was incredible to see what she did to Kaufman. Unlike in wrestling, I think women are typically more exciting to watch then the men.
