Following Rey Mysterio's visit backstage at last week's Raw SuperShow in San Diego, California, any mention of his name to WWE brass reportedly resulted in a very negative speech. There has been underlying friction on management's part due to tough contract negotiations and not returning from injuries as early as they'd like. Also, some feel because of his small stature, he's lucky to be employed to WWE.

They are right though. Let's face it without the WWE machine protecting him he would be lucky to be a job guy in WWE. If he can't compete and doesn't even want to come back I say let him go.

If they didn't care about the dude, they wouldn't have invested so much energy and time in trying to find his replacement..... Sin Cara, and we all know how that turned out.

to say Rey Mysterio is useless is pretty stupid... its pro wrestling.... he can wrestle a few times a year and make the company some money....over the past few years he has been the ace of the wwe roster, always putting on great matches.... I am not even that HUGE of a fan of Rey but I know he's had the best feuds in the wwe as well over the past 5 years and is basically their MVP of the TV shows.

if the guy is hurt or health is an issue I would just run angles and storylines for him and keep his matches simple. i also think he could give some of the young guys a good rub if he were comfortable losing some feuds, which he should be.

I'd like a Mysterio / Joe Hennig feud.... or Rey vs Daniel Bryan

He's on his last legs because he's a 37 year old man with two bad knees but I think he has one last run in him. HOwever this report is horse shit, I don't know what the observer is doing whether their subscribership is down or Meltzer is too busy with UFC shit that no one cares about but they have really started the new year off with some just rediciulous reporting

If you want to learn how to be a great babyface, look at Rey Mysterio's work rate. Plain and simple, Rey has a lot to contribute to the company in ring and out. He should have a life time employment with the WWE, when he finally hangs up the boots.

Look Angry Virgin, you should read the sentence again since clearly I never said it was and was pointing out that F4W and observer have ade multiple claims so far this year that have been pretty stupid

I doubt it's true. If it is then obviously it's pretty messed up. The guy has done a lot for them, and wanting people to come back early from injuries, especially now, is pretty f'd up.

WWE does sometimes confuse me of what they want sometimes. To be fair Im not a big fan of Mysterio but he has done a lot for the company and wrestling as a whole. Also coming back early from a serious knee injury can effect you in later life when retired. I doubt this is true.
