in the last few years almost every wrestler i can think of with long hair has gone short

the only one i can think of who hasnt is triple h

yes i know in the 80s/90s from time to time a wrestler would go short - think bulldog or jeff jarret

but never can i remember a time where in the space of a couple of years so many wrestlers went really short

and please dont give me any smart ass `your a fag` or `does it matter` answers

my question is has the traditional image of a wrestler with long pants and long hair gone,
and the crew cut or metrosexual `trendy` miz or chris jericho styles the new?

i see fewer and fewer young people who grow their hair long in north america . the people breaking into the bussiness are young and follow the trends of their generation . you will see younger guys with long hair when when it's a trend again. as for the older guys take it from me a middle age guy who loves long hair . you can get to the point where you just don't wanna deal and always remember a shaved head means never having to say you're balding

Cena should grow his hair out, so it hides him constantly yelling spots at guys

I will say, one thing I miss about long hair, is that it looks better when the guy is selling a punch, seeing the hair flying everywhere

Yeah, not a lot of long-hairs in society really anymore, so it's not a surprise there are less on TV.... I do remember hearing/reading that an added motivation to growing the hair long was that with more and more wrestling on TV and close ups of the wrestlers themselves, the long hair helped them to conceal the fact that they were calling spots in the ring, at a time when that was more of a concern...
