Cody Rhodes indicated earlier this week on Twitter that he would be taking some time off. This is not the case as Cody will appear on this week’s WWE SmackDown to respond to Christian defeating him for the Intercontinental Title at Over the Limit. No word yet if Cody will take time off after the next pay-per-view.

News came out this weekend that over the past few months, WWE officials were discussing Cody for a potential feud against WWE Champion CM Punk.

This comes after we learned that officials almost put the WWE Title on Daniel Bryan at Over the Limit but that idea was nixed.

While one could assume that officials aren’t too sure of CM Punk as WWE Champion, sources indicate that WWE still has major plans for him through the rest of the year.

Cody Rhodes overacts terribly he sounds like The Count on Seseme Street. 1 haha 2 haha 3.

the Dashing Character was fun the facemask was just stupid, the whole stupid dark bruding character did nothing for him and now he's just there.

He deserves the push he has done reallly well since splitting from Legacy and has made a name for himself. He as IC champion was one of the best runs in years.

Yep. Especially when you consider his promos are god awful. I mean I would understand taking the mask off him if he were one of their best talkers and a pretty good in ring performer to boot, but Cody Rhodes is clearly none of those things.

CM Punk feuding with mid carders doesn't really help his title reign look more credible.Nothing against Cody Rhodes but Punk really needs more of a main event guy to help put him over as the guy and make the belt look worth more.

he was dark, he was brooding, he had a mask, he had a cowl/robe... thats cool.

he reminded me of Dr. Doom, and thaTS COOL.

and he kept referring to his face, which was clearly fine, which was a cool gimmick IMO.

Dashing was OK.

lets face it he can't cut a convincing promo right now. He'll find his stride I am sure. But you never know.
