- Dixie Carter said during the media conference call today that TNA is considering cutting back the number of PPV events per year. Carter said that she didn't know what the perfect number of PPVs would be but that they were considering six to eight a year. The company is currently re-negotiating their PPV carrier contracts.

Dixie also said that Brooke Hogan will not be wrestling in TNA; she is coming in simply to bring attention to the product.

It would definitely be a good move to cut back to 6 ppvs...and maybe have a live "Clash of Champions" style Impact every few months to fill in the gaps .

i liked when WCW had about 5-6 ppvs and 3-4 Clashes per year..Same with WWF when they had the big 4 ppvs, and a Sat Night's Main Event every few months. It made everything feel more important. I know WWE would never go back to that model, but with TNA, I could see it being feasible.

I think 7 would be a good number of PPV's for TNA. It could really help them build solid story lines and not hot shot a lot of angles.
