Randy Orton’s future with WWE is uncertain following their announcement Wednesday that he was being suspended for 60 days for his second violation of the Talent Wellness Program. SuperLuchas.net reports the SmackDown wrestler met with Chairman Vince McMahon, Executive Vice President of Talent and Live Events Paul Levesque and Executive Vice President of Television Production Kevin Dunn at the organization’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut on Friday to discuss his future with the organization.

A WWE source described the meeting’s atmosphere as “hostile;” it was determined that a further decision concerning Orton awaits. The report adds there are “several” officials lobbying for his termination as a cost-cutting measure. They feel his lucrative ten-year contract—signed in January 2010—can no longer be justified if he is brought back in a mid-level role. His second suspension hinders WWE from continuing to feature Orton in headline role since a third drug-testing policy infraction would result in automatic termination.

McMahon is especially infuriated with Orton, who felt he had matured in recent years. The nine-time world champion’s suspension reportedly stems from a positive drug test for the anabolic steroid Dianabol, which is banned by the United States Congress under its Controlled Substances Act. He also reportedly tested positive for marijuana, which is subject to a $2,500 fine.

Honestly I can understand their fear. You don't want to do a huge push with the guy only to have him get tagged with another failure and you need to fire him.

Man, if he really did get busted for Dianabol, thats surprising..D-Bol is an old-school steroid that I didnt even think a lot of guys would be using nowadays in the gay shape era. ... It bulks you up really fast and retains a lot of water weight..If you look at some of the guys wrestling during the 80s, that had huge arms and chests, but also big bellies..Hogan,Valentine, Muraco, Animal, Hercules etc..They were all big into Dianabol.. Randy Orton's physique is pretty much the polar opposite of that...

At some point and I"m not saying this to be funny someone in TNA is going to die and its going to be very hard for TNA to explain why they signed Ken Anderson, Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, and then Orton off a Drug release

Source: PWInsider

As noted yesterday, a report from SuperLuchas on Monday stated that Randy Orton's WWE future was up in the air after meeting with Vince McMahon, Triple H and Kevin Dunn at WWE headquarters on Friday. The report stated that the meeting's atmosphere was "hostile" and it was determined a further decision concerning Orton awaits. SuperLuchas says that several WWE officials were lobbying for Orton's termination as a cost-cutting measure.

PWInsider now reports that WWE officials indeed met with Orton over the weekend and there is definitely talk about not bringing him back as soon as his suspension is over. Their report doesn't mention Orton being terminated but the idea would be to make Orton "sit it out and stew" once the suspension is over.

We noted earlier that one change coming out of the Orton suspension is WWE may start announcing which banned substances talents test positive for. One temporary change we will see is a lot of the RAW Superstars working SmackDown tours this summer while Orton is away. Rey Mysterio will be returning in a few weeks to add some depth to SmackDown but expect to see guys like Kofi Kingston, R-Truth and Zack Ryder work a lot of the upcoming SmackDown live events. John Cena and CM Punk have already been booked for upcoming SmackDown tapings.

The E loves dishing out these 10 year contracts only to recant and use them as excuses when its appropriate for them. Orton's not getting fired, but I wouldn't rule out a return of Orton shitting in the divas personal items as a way of revenge.

While Superluchas reported that andy Orton tested positive for the anabolic steroid Dianobol, that has not been confirmed. Many feel that it would be surprising that Orton was using Dianobol, due to the fact that Dianobol stays in your system for up to 6 weeks and is easily tested for.

People in WWE are being tight-lipped about the Randy Orton suspension. One source who did comment believes that Orton tested positive due to a tainted supplement. As noted before, the SuperLucha reports that Orton tested positive for Dianabol are not confirmed.

SuperLuchas and PWInsider also reported a meeting between Orton and WWE officials to discuss his future last weekend. SuperLuchas named Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn and Triple H as the officials who met with Orton. One source says that Dunn would not have been part of the meeting as it's not his department.

Vince McMahon is said to be going back and forth on Orton's future but the feeling is that in the end, they can't and won't get rid of Orton due mainly to depth issues. There is said to be a small, vocal pocket of people that is growing more outspoken about cutting Orton.

Orton's 60 day suspension will reportedly end July 29th, meaning he will miss the 1000th RAW in his hometown of St. Louis on July 23rd but would be eligible to return on the July 30th RAW, in time for the SummerSlam pay-per-view. The talk is that WWE may keep Orton out after his suspension is over, to teach him a lesson and have him miss the annual SummerSlam payday. Orton being gone for 60 days will cost him around $200,000. If he's not booked for SummerSlam and kept off TV for a few weeks longer after the suspension, then he will lose somewhere around $275,000.

TNA should have someone slip some marijuana juice into his energy drink or a little cocaine sprinkles on his doughnuts.

$275,000 damn. But is that a lot to someone like Orton who is one of the highest paid guys in the company? I look at it this way if you get suspended for 60 days you get time off and can relax your body.

Eh, unless your Donald Trump or a "real" sports star, I'd say it's still a significant amount to lose. I understand the relax your body and heal part, but he may not be too happy when he comes back. As it said it one of the articles, they don't tend to push guys with two wellness strikes.

When asked on Twitter about why he was suspended, Randy Orton stated the following…

"When I'm able to tell you, I will. Until then, don't believe everything you read!"

Orton also stated that his suspension ends "50 days from now," which would be July 27. This also backs up the start-date of Orton's suspension as Monday, May 25th, which was the Raw episode where Orton simply came out to the ring and RKO'ed The Miz. Orton wasn't used on TV the next day for the Smackdown tapings, and WWE announced the suspension on Wednesday, May 27th via WWE.com

My guess is they keep him, and stop testing him. Problem solved.

Yeah that Big show contract was a disaster, I'm sure if Cena has one his is a disaster to. Lets be realistic Bret Hart's turned out bad and Orton really hasn't

Nope. It would be a week or 2 bump, then business as usual.
