Raw will expand to a three-hour show, starting with the 1,000th episode on July 23 at 8/7 CT on USA Network. Of WWE employees broached on the subject by PWInsider.com, no one had a positive feeling on the addition of one hour to Raw. Rather, those talked to are "genuinely concerned" about the harm making it a three-hour show on a weekly basis could do to the WWE product.

It is a rather concerning concept.

He'll be disappointed when he finds out it will just be an extra hour of Johnny Ace, Tensai, and the comedy workings of Santino Marella.

- On week one of RAW going three-hours, WWE is pulling out all the stops in hopes of getting fans into the habit of tuning in an hour earlier because the first hour of every three-hour RAW is always the lowest-rated.

I enjoyed Nitro when it was 3 hours. Honestly I think Raw could be good.

and if more Hawkins/Reks then I will be very happy. #change

I dont know why you wouldnt want a extra hour of Raw aka wrestling per week.

Honestly, I'm dreading these 3 hour shows. I'm expecting a lot of video packages and filler segments in the beginning of this.

I've never been a fan of the 3 hour shows from any company unless it's a Pay-Per-View.

I've started finding myself watching less and less of RAW over the last few weeks. Something I never imagined. I used to watch everything. Then started skipping Smackdown regularly and for a while TNA. Never watching NXT etc. But, I always figured I'd watch RAW every week. I don't think adding an extra hour to a show I generally don't enjoy anymore is going to help anyway. I think it will make it much worse.

WWE is planning to treat the 1,000th Raw on July 23rd like a PPV caliber event.

- WWE has reached out to dozens of legends to appear at the show, including Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes, Sgt. Slaughter, Jim Duggan, Gene Okerlund and Jimmy Hart. They have also reached out to many names from the attitude era.

- WWE is considering having Bobby Heenan make an appearance, but his health situation might prevent him from appearing.

- Similar to the Old School Raw they did back in 2010, they are looking to incorporate several vintage production techniques to the show.

- The plan is to announce several big matches for the 1,000th RAW and then promote them like a PPV.

- WWE has reached out to the Undertaker to appear, and if he is appearing, they plan to also announce that ahead of time and promote it as much as possible.

If it werent for the chatroom, I'd very rarely watch RAW live anymore..Its been pretty bad lately. And Raw was always the 1 show I would watch no matter what, for years.

Yeah Beef. If it wasn't for the chat, I doubt that I'd even watch RAW weekly anymore. The chatroom is the only place where comic relief with friends helps most of us get through RAW.

I need to go in the chat room more :P My hours suck. But i think maybe i wouldnt like it in there sometimes. I still enjoy the product alot. And i kinda think it would be 3 hours of people talking about how they have to watch something they hate. Though last time i was in there it was pretty fun.

See I think this is where you kinda differ from me in regards to watching wrestling. I honestly can go weeks and months without watching Raw. I have watched both shows quite reguarly since Mania, but I know during the year I will get bored and stop watching both of them. At the moment I am watching both WWE/TNA because they are both enjoyable so maybe with the new 3 hour Raw it will make me stick to it for the time-being. Who knows.

I've been a wrestling fanatic since I was 5 yrs old, and I dont think I've gone more than 2 weeks in a row without watching in all this time (almost 30 yrs)..But that doesnt mean I'm always totally loving what I'm watching .I think with wrestling fans, we basically just watch out of habit, and (especially these days) just kinda hope for a few good things to pop up in each show. I will say, these days, with just 1 major company, and 1 sorta second-tier company, its more of a chore to watch most of the stuff than it ever was during any period I can remember in my time as a fan.
