The Wrestling Observer reports that the TNA Gut Check segments are a work, but closer to a shoot than anything else on Impact. The segments are given bullet points instead of being completely scripted and the talents are not told of the outcome in advance. Neither Joey Ryan or Alex Silva knew if they'd be voted "yes" or "no" by the judges prior to the segment.

It was terrible, its not my fault that you put three people in the ring with ryan and your big emotional moment is delivered by the clearly way over weight Taz

WTF does Taz's Weight have to do with this. That's your argument?

You claim you don't watch, then shut your mouth. Little Jimmy

I did watch that segment see someone posted it on the message board and after the hype about Joey Ryan I checked it out and posted about my point, thanks for joining us in June, what I mean is Taz is no longer considered the Human Suplex Machine someone put it bluntly and hysterically he's the Human Subway Machine and does nothing but crack jokes and all but bury the product he's supposed to be putting over so if I'm going for a big dramatic moment Tubby Taz isn't my pick to do it

The first two Gut Check segments have been awesome. First we had Flair going into business for himself followed by Joey Ryan and Taz cutting one awesome promo after another. We need more of these.

I will say I watched the segment and I didn't really enjoy it. It just felt like American Idol or every other knock off show. Also, I could just not get over Taz as a judge. Is there anyone in the World that respects Taz's opinion?

Given that what you just stated is true, which it isn't, why should we be ashamed of that?

You really are a stupid individual.

Show me where either of us said we respect Taz's opinion. Liking a segment doesn't mean I respect their opinion.

and you know if you liked the segment thats your problem but I get the sneaking suspicion you didn't like it and are just supporting it becasue its TNA especially since your now claiming you didn't care about Taz in the segment when he was the whole sticking point

Your suspicions are wrong. I enjoyed the segment. That's my opinion. Yours is obviously you didn't. And it's extremely douche like to use your name in the 3rd person. Not too surprised you did it.

You can never truly defend your nonsense logically. It's even more apparent here when you tried to insult Box and me about us liking the Gut Check Segments..... as if we should be ashamed for enjoying them because the majority of the posters in this thread didn't share the same enjoyment.

It's really no surprising because anytime we admit to enjoying something related to TNA, you call us idiots and IWC tards (I still don't know what the fuck this means) because you felt that it was the worst thing ever to occur in professional wrestling.

I insult you because you claimed you like it and can't explain why, and you should be embarrassed for enjoying a segment thats absolutely awful. I call you an idiot when put over crap without reasoning just because its TNA. When you do a awful wanna be reality show that has zero to do with anything and your main point of the segment is to have your fat obnoxious announcer try to act like a serious bad ass

XT, If we should be embarrassed for liking that segment, then you should be equally embarrassed for liking that Cena/Cole segment. Both shows have shitty segments.

1)No completely different segments and Cena and Cole actually was over and was entertainment

2) This segment was drop dead serious and just like when I attacked that backstage blow job fest between Hogan, Hardy, Bully, Angle, and AJ it was melodramatic crap that benefited nothing and comes off as over acting crap.

3) If you go back and read my original response I actually put over Joey Ryan as a character because he was damn entertaining and unlike most of TNA's roster stood out for what he was trying to accomplish which is great. TNA needs more like him but you have a character like that in the ring with a group of who gives a fuck judges and your tryign to make it serious and your big dramatic moment is with your fat obnoxious color commentator who all but buries the show he's supposed to be putting over.

Though are some big fucking holes

oh yeah and SpecSun

I really don't care if you don't feel like explaining but if you can't doesn't mean I can't call you an idiot for liking a rediculious segment

don't we watch wrestling to enjoy it? if someone enjoys something on the show(that you don't watch or only watch to hate) then what is the problem? do you watch other television shows or movies you don't like?

You can twist it however you want, that segment with cole and cena was bad. both shows have shitty segments. You at least have to admit that.

And by the way, don't call people idiots, then misspell ridiculous. That makes you look really bad. Really dude, grow up already.

No its not twisting anything its taking things into perspective, its like judging 30 Rock and then judging Law and Order SVU by the same material.

If Cena and Cole was meant to be this dead serious segment that was actually supposed to build up either guy or get something over than your right it was a shitty segment because there was no point. However thats not what the segment was supposed to be. See there is a difference, See Cena vs. Cole was pure entertainment it wasn't supposed to accomplish anything other than being funny and entertaining, The Gut Check Segment was supposed to be serious and get over Joey Ryan I'm guessing I could be wrong because tahts the point it was all over the place. You had a character in Joey Ryan who was damn entertaining but when you put him in a segment that is overly dramatic, pointless, and your build up moment is with a character who has become this joke in Tazz your not going to accomplish anything its that simple .There two seperate segments.

and of course WWE produces bad segments they do it all the time and I rip them for it when they do it
