He should be erased

he should be glorified as the great technical wrestler he was and they should make a chris benoit choking woman plush toy.

No, he shouldn't be erased. That's ridiculous. He shouldn't be glorified in any way, but he shouldn't be erased. Whether anyone likes it or not, he existed.

Wrestling fans amuse me sometimes. We can say "Adolf Hitler," but some fans seems to think we shouldn't say "Chris Benoit." Seriously, I've seen people online refer to him as He Who Shall Not Be Named or "Bob Holly," which was the result of a joke someone made about altered footage.

In the German parliment building they still recognise Hitler as being one of there leaders. Same with China with General Mao etc.

If it was from a WWE perspective I wouldnt recognise him. I watch his matches and think about what hes done its a horrible thought.

Vince McMahon is right when he said its impossible to erase him but I think not aknowledging him is the best policy. Unless you need to like in a historical reference. Deleting him is probably the smartest thing to do

I couldn't care less if they erase him from all the footage.

The one thing I think that really sucks is him being blackballed has really hurt the showing of some epic moments. Anderson's retirement speech, Flair's WCW return, a lot of Guerrero's WWE stuff, etc...

Who cares for get about the Murders , We dont even know if he really did it like morey keeps on saying.

No u dont erase people from history. It doesnt matter. It shoudnt be a big issue really. U forget him to some degree but u dont erase him. Just dont bring this up anymore and let them all r.i.p.

I for one think it's wrong to erase him from history after all we never got a decent survivor series boxset just do what they do in the elimination chamber set and delete whatever the commentators say to put him over

I miss him.... just hate what all happened. They erased him as soon as Vince made that speech on Smackdown, but realistically, people will still remember him as a wrestler who worked for several companies in addition to all of the other stuff that happened on that awful weekend.

yes and I think Bobby Roode should quit using the Crossface as should Daniel Bryan even though he calls it the lebell lock it looks very similar to the Crossface

Don't go as far to erase him from the back catalogue of footage, like a Wrestlemania or Royal Rumble. Not sure if that'd be even technically feasible to remove him from a Royal Rumble, especially the one he won. They, as they have been doing, should make not mention of him in all other aspects.

I do not care what Chris Benoit did during his career. I do not care how great of a technical worker he was. He's a murderer, and that negates anything he ever did in a fake sport. He's a black eye on the history of professional wrestling. I do not want to watch his matches. Vince has gone on record saying, "We can't deny that he existed, but we're not going to mention him." That's the correct mentality to have.
