The 7/12 TNA Impact Wrestling drew a 0.85 cable rating with 1.1 million viewers. Impact Rewind debuting an hour before the show drew a 0.21 cable rating with 231,000 viewers.

This was the first week of TNA feeling the loss of Viacom channels being dropped by DirecTV losing 20 million subscribers. Spike TV plans to post full episodes soon.

Even if Viacom from Direct TV caused this it is really bad news for Impact. It really kills momentum for Austin Aries having the title

1.1 million viewers , not too bad..Figured it would be a lot worse, the steady streak of solid episodes is paying off. ..Hopefully the DirectTv deal gets worked out in the next week or 2.

dude 1.1 million viewers is irrelevant in the grand scheme This show all year has seen its rating fall and when you put a new champion on Television you want to hit a homerun out of the gate not have a dud. Whether this is because TNA or the Viacom issues it really does nothing of value for them and the Rewind show was just a flat out bomb.

Or maybe they need to stop focusing on hasbeens like Hogan, Sting, and Kurt Angle, and stop pushing never was anyone like Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. Or better yet, get people in positions to teach people to actually work, get announcers who don't feel its amateur stand up night, and start refocusing their demographic and efforts on things that will actually advance them.

Nah, I think the wacky midget route would be better, since thats what you seem to think is important on a wrestling show.

20 MILLION people don't have Spike TV and XT still blames TNA.

funny when WWE's rating tanked because of Hatfields & McCoys you just said not to worry. But since it's TNA, you make seem like the world Is ending.

Always an excuse for the E with XT.

Holy Double Standard Batman!!!

If ratings are a deterrent for you to watch a wrestling show as a fan, then you are a sad individual. There's no justifiable reason for you to give one shit, let alone two shits, about ratings in relation to your viewership of a wrestling program. TNA could have gotten a .4, but ya know, I would have still enjoyed what I saw last Thursday. Tomorrow, the sun will rise, Serena Deeb will still have huge tits and ratings will still not impact my viewership of a wrestling program.

I always find it interesting that people base their opinions on the rating number... there are some weeks where the rating number is lower but more people watched.

It's not a bombing it's a loss of 4 million viewers due to DirecTV removing Spike.

If ratings don't matter to any of you, why is it everytime theres a ratings post on here, all of you chime in. People dont comment on things that don't matter to them. And if a midget gets your show ratings i say fuck it get ten more. People post on here when the WWE loses .1 rating, and all of you fans who dont care about ratings comment on how they CONSTANTLY loose fans because the show is bad. But when TnA goes down, no one cares about ratings again.

TT how does knowing the ratings effect my enjoyment of the show? is what we mean by ratings don't matter. 20 million viewers lost in this directv is a massive hit for any show.

Oh of course, TnA i think is cooking on all cylinders right now. And i think the ratings will show that (which ive said over and over) eventually. But when the WWE loses .2 points, everyone in this thread wants to talk about how much it sucks. And post there reasons why it went down. And why the show is about to be canceled. Not the NBA finals. Not Monday night Football. Nothing matters then. But if TnA looses points do to something beyond there control, the rallying cries go out.

I don't do that, but when ratings do drop for Impact of course I rally against XT because he's fucking stupid, even when Impact's ratings drop it's still Spike's highest show and he acts like Impact will get cancelled which is complete bullshit.

I'm afraid that without a midget scampering about and having silly hijinks, TNA will always come up... a little short.

And on the other hand there are people who only support one company (Not you TT) and no matter what the other company does, it's a failure. That's not right either.

That one line I made larger is the point all of us have been trying to make to a certain person on this board.

and what opinion did I base off a rating here? and sometimes ratings aren't about opinion its about fact. When your new champion sees a huge drop in ratings obviously puts a damper on the whole situation. Regardless of reason the title reign can't start with a nice little ratings boost.

If TNA starts drawing .4's than when your show gets cancelled and your sitting there crying about how WWE has no competition we can have a conversation.

1)I said in the first post in the thread that it sucks because of what happened with Viacom
2)Under performing ratings are a habit this year because again not using this weeks TNA as a whole have dropped a .12 below what they did last year
3)WWE again why that is relevant in a TNA thread who knows and regardless a 2.7 on a Holiday, during the NBA and NHL playoffs, comebined with a special that drew a record number for Cable ratings and the fact it was like I said proabbly just a one time thing

and you base that theory off of what? Because I said I laughed at WWE trolling people like you who will get upset over a storyline that has long since been over.....? Better question is why are you ignoring in that same thread I said it was dumb......

1) I have stated hundreds of times I want TNA to succeed and then people like you and Spec basically bitch that instead of being drolling marks for them I choose to point out flaws in their product that holds them back. Then you or some other moron will start with the I'm a WWE mark without EVER showing any proof of it.

2) I read all of TT's post and he's 100% right a lot of you are hyprocrites and you prove it on a daily basis.

3) seriously a lot of you need to stop adding words I've never said because all your doing is making it extremely easy to point out that your only adding words that fit your arguments that were never stated

If you want TNA to succeed, then you would first and foremost support them by watching the show, which you don't. That right there immediately makes you look like a fucking idiot.
